Refund policy
no mass producing going on around here. orders are made on an individual basis which allows for minimization of waste and personal customization upon request.
due to this process, no refunds or exchanges are accepted at this time except for damaged or defective items. please reach out should you have an issue with your order.
Black Duck Deviations will issue refunds to the original form of payment used on an order in the event that your order:
- is cancelled by BDD.
- one or more of your items is no longer available since your order was processed.
BDD will take up to 10 business days to clear your refund. depending on your financial institution, the refund amount may take up to 15 business days to post to your account.
if you used a gift card to purchase your item(s), your funds will be issued back to your gift card.
damages and issues
please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. please contact us within 7 days of receipt. refunds or exchanges outside of this window may not be accepted.
to be eligible for an exchange of a defective or incorrect item, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. you’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

if your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

exceptions / non-returnable items
certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). we also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
